Join Cheryl Machat Dorskind IN THE GARDEN
Join Cheryl Machat Dorskind for a Garden Photo Workshop. Learn how to be a better photographer, celebrate nature, and visit award-winning gardens. The focus will be on all the elements of a garden: landscape design, flowers, greenery, sun and shade, ponds, birdbaths, and other garden accents. The “camera teaches you to see without a camera” (Dorothea Lange); as you learn how to see and capture natural beauty with the eye of your lens, you will also become a better gardener. The workshop experience will leave you refreshed, invigorated and inspired.
Garden Photo Workshop May 19th, from 1:30-4:00, with Tea and Q&A to follow
Meyer Garden Description
Splashes of color and shaded pathways invite you into this garden amidst native cedars. As you get lost in the many twists and turns, you are likely to discover a Koi Pond, an English boxwood knot garden, an unusual birdbath, and a wisteria-covered archway. After passing by a vibrant perennial border, two paths carved from the cedar forest lead to imaginative vistas and intimate garden rooms. Many tantalizing surprises await your enjoyment and photographic vision.

“Cheryl’s photo workshops are one of the best things I have done. She is an amazing teacher… I have enjoyed two photo workshops and can’t wait for the next time I can join her.”
If you are anywhere within a decent car, train or bus ride of Westhampton, New York, get in touch with Cheryl Machat Dorskind and join her for one of her photo workshops. Cheryl teaches photography online, mentoring photography students all over the world. She is also a portrait photographer, a master at hand-painting photographs, and a published author.I had a great time and wanted to pitch a tent on the beach, roast marshmallows and fall asleep under the stars. I would go back tomorrow if I could. I would love to do one in the Fall, in the Winter, in the Springtime.”
A fantastic photographer, herself, an artist, Cheryl is also a terrific teacher. She sees your potential in what you do and makes it fun to spend time with her and experiment with the camera.”
