With my camera, I explore the world and find a way to convey my thoughts and feelings. A heartfelt connection motivates the aperture. I seek light, collaboration and play.
I began my professional photographic journey as a fine-art photographer, merging painting (another love) with black and white photography to create “handpainted” one-of-a-kind images.
Motherhood provided a new expressive avenue, focusing my lens on daughters and their friends. In a short time, my portfolio evolved to include misty coastal handpainted landscapes and handpainted children and family portraits.
Digital photography provided a new gateway for visual communication. I embrace technology and continue to create portraits and heirloom family and children photo art.
I have been an exhibiting photo artist since the beginning of my photographic journey and continue to combine art and photography to create special one-of-a kind images.
The photographs and corresponding portfolio pages highlight the many genres of photography I work within.
I love to read and books are a huge part of my life; whether I am reading, researching, discussing literature or writing my own books. Photographing authors brings me great pleasure.
